From the renowned company that created the Swiss Army knife more than a century ago comes the Victorinox Ranger with Classic SD knife set. The Classic SD, one of the most popular knives in the world, is combined with the 3.5 inch Ranger knife to create a great Swiss Army gift set that is perfect for anyone. The Ranger knife contains a complete set of tools for campers, hikers, hunters, fishermen, picnic enthusiasts, and people of all trades. Featuring the famous Swiss Army red plastic cover, this knife is a complete toolbox small enough to fit into a pocket, and can be conveniently stored in a glove compartment, on the boat, or even attached to your keys. A valued companion, the Ranger contains more than 20 stainless steel tools including can opener, bottle opener, multiple screwdriver options, scissors, wood saw and much more.
The Classic SD measures just 2-1/4 inches long – less than a pack of gum – and comes stylishly cased in a timeless solid-colored housing with the familiar Victorinox logo on the side. More importantly, the unit contains all the classic Swiss Army tools, including a small blade for cutting, a pair of mini scissors, a nail file with a screwdriver tip, a toothpick, tweezers, and a key ring.
As with all Victorinox items, the Classic is made to exacting standards, with dozens of steps going into its construction. Victorinox attends to every detail, from selecting the finest materials to performing the final inspection. In addition, each individual tool has been hardened in a different way to stand up to its designated use.

Victorinox Heritage
The Victorinox Swiss Army Knife is more than 100 years old, and was legally registered on June 12, 1897. More than 34,000 of these useful pocket-size multi-tools with leave the factory in central Switzerland each day, and feature the distinctive Swiss cross. Ninety percent are for export to more than 100 different countries and serve as ambassadors for Switzerland. Karl Elsener, the company founder, wanted to create work in sparsely industrialized central Switzerland and counter the emigration spawned by unemployment. To go from hand-crafting to industrial production was at the time adventurous and required enormous determination. Today, this family business in Schwyz provides 950 jobs. After the soldier's knife, which every recruit receives upon entering the army, Karl Elsener developed a new, elegant and lightweight pocket knife, with six practical tools. He called this new model the "Officers and Sports Knife."
After an unparalleled success story around the world, the Victorinox Swiss Army Knife is even orbiting the earth as part of the standard equipment of the Space Shuttle crew. The knife has also been successfully proven on expeditions: in the arctic ice of the North Pole; on the highest peak on earth, Mount Everest; in the tropical rain forests of the Amazon, and elsewhere. Time and again, it has been a life saver in situations of extreme danger and great need. The New York Museum of Modern Art and the State Museum for Applied Art in Munich have selected it for their collection of excellence in design, and, since Lyndon B. Johnson, US presidents present guests with Victorinox pocket knives.
Today, the Officers' Knife is available in more than 100 different models. Each knife must undergo seamless quality controls before being released for sale.
